Classic Reuben sandwich made with corned beef or corned venison is easy to do at home!
 
Bursting with flavor, this sandwich will compete with any you’ve ever had. Making it with your own harvested venison roast makes it even better.

Recipe: Giovanni Sandwich

Giovanni Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage (of course made with Papa Greco's Italian Spice Mix)
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 fresh, hard crusted Italian rolls
  • 1 c. Italian Sausage Condiment (see recipe)

Instructions

  • Make 4 - 1/4 pound patties out of the Italian Sausage
  • Cook them by either pan frying, grilling, or BBQing
  • When the patties are done, put a slice of provolone cheese on each patty and continue cooking until starting to melt
  • Put a patty on each roll and cover with the Condiment for Italian Sausage

Notes

Great with a salad and glass of dry Italian red wine.

Recipe: Bratwurst Sandwich

Bratwurst Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bulk bratwurst (of course, home made using Papa Greco's bratwurst spice mix!)
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 slices pumpernickel or caraway rye bread
  • 2 c. sauerkraut

Instructions

  • Make 4 1/4 pound patties out of the bratwurst
  • Cook them by either pan frying, grilling, or BBQing
  • When the patties are done, put a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and continue cooking until starting to melt
  • Put a patty on slice of bread and cover with 1/2 cup of sauerkraut, cover with a slice of bread

Notes

Great with a cold mug of beer and sweet and sour red cabbage as a side dish...!
