This corned beef seasoning mix will cure beef or venison roasts into wonderful corned beef/venison. The cured roast is can be boiled as part of a boiled dinner or boiled and sliced to make corned beef or Reuben sandwiches.

It can be St. Patrick’s Day anytime you want when you corn your own beef or venison. This is probably the easiest of all of my seasoning mixes to use. All you do is to boil the seasoning packet along with salt, brown sugar and crushed garlic cloves in enough water to cover the meat and let it cool. The amount of salt, brown sugar and crushed garlic is included in the instructions with each mix. While the meat is cooling you thoroughly and deeply poke the meat with a meat fork so the brine will be able to penetrate throughout the meat. Once the brine is cool, you stir in the cure packet and pore over the meat. Let the meat stay in the brine for 4-5 days and it is ready to cook.
